Computing Facilities
Students have access to all the necessary computer hardware and software needed to complete their classwork in the variety of general computer laboratories provided by the College of Engineering and Mineral Resources. Mineral Resources (MR) Computing Laboratory at Room 249 Mineral Resources Building (MRB) is one of the general computing laboratories provided by the College. Other general computing laboratories are located in Engineering & Science Building (ESB). MR Computing Lab is equipped with a variety of computers, printers, and scanners, as well as the basic software tools for graduate and undergraduate students to complete class work, presentation slides, and basic term papers, research reports and papers, and the Internet web/literature search.
The specially configured computers and printers are available in Mining Engineering (MinE) Teaching and Design Computer Laboratory (MinE Computer Lab) at Room 231 MRB. In addition to the computers, in MinE Computer Lab, there is a large formatted plotter, color deskjet printer, laserjet printer, and digitizer.
