The chair and faculty assumed the responsibility to lead efforts within our Department to comply with Criteria 2000, and they have spent considerable effort to become familiar with the expectations of these criteria including:
1. Attendance at in-house Ad-hoc ABET Readiness Committee meetings, seminars on Criteria 2000 held for personnel across the college of Engineering and Mineral Resources and university wide.
2. Attendance of the 2nd National Conference on Outcomes Assessment for Program Improvement, ABET Faculty Workshops for Program Improvement, October 27-29, 2002, Pittsburgh PA.
3. Nnumerous documents and reports relevant to the new criteria were obtained and reviewed.
