Dr. Syd S. Peng Elected to the National Academy of Engineering

Dr. Peng received this highest of honors for his leadership in the development of advanced longwall mining ground control, and subsidence control technologies. His election as a memeber of the National Academy brings great credit to him, to his department, and to our entire college and university. He is the first-ever WVU faculty member and only the fourth West Virginian to receive this high honor.
